Three Texas colleges rank amongst best for high earning female graduates in south

A workforce website called Stepping Blocks looked at universities around the country, and which ones produce the highest earnings for women graduates under 40.

It broke the numbers down by regions of the country and, in the south, Texas had three schools placed in the top 12.

Texas State in San Marcos finished sixth overall in the south. Graduates in health care, accounting, and marketing earn about $126,000 on average. They go to work mostly at USAA, Dell, and Deloitte.

SMU finished seventh with their graduates going more for law, business administration, and accounting, with making their money at Lockheed Martin and AT&T.

TCU is 12th overall for majors in nursing, accounting, and law.
