"Throughout the winter season, our personnel and equipment are always ready to support our neighbors in need. Whether along the state’s highways or along the border in support of Operation Lone Star, we’re Texans serving Texas."

The DFW metroplex is expected to get up to 0.5 inches of freezing rain and sleet on Wednesday night according to the National Weather Service.

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport has seen flight cancellations mount as conditions worsen, while MedStar has seen an uptick in car crashes across Tarrant County.
