A neighborhood in Georgetown was very busy with on-lookers after a small plane crashed into a two-story home Sunday, leaving the tail end of the fuselage sticking out from the roof.

Just past noon, the single-engine plane with a pilot and two passengers aboard smashed into the home less than a mile from the south end of the main runway at Georgetown Executive Airport.

Police say the home is unoccupied so the only ones hurt were the three people aboard. They were taken to the hospital with what investigators consider non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is not known but the NTSB is just beginning its investigation. There did not appear to be any fire at the point of impact. Investigators say the plane took off from Kerrville and was heading to Georgetown Executive but fell short.
