Two Stephen F. Austin University students have died in a catastrophic head-on collision with a big rig in Corrigan over the weekend.

Police say Micah McAfoose and Graylan Spring were heading home for a couple of days when an 18-wheeler made a left turn in front of them.

Their Nissan Versa was wedged under the trailer, killing McAfoose, the driver, on impact. His friend Graylan died at a Conroe hospital.

Interim SFA president Steve Westbrook has asked that the SFA flag at the campus entrance fly at half-staff today.
