A teacher at Robb Elementary in Uvalde has started an Amazon wish list to replace items teachers left behind after the shooting last month. On June 1, Superintendent Hal Harrell announced students and teachers would not return.

"First and foremost, we are going to continue to provide counseling and support to our families and staff for the foreseeable future. We know that our lives will never be the same, but we also know that we will join together to honor the lives we lost and build a stronger Uvalde for those who remain," Harrell wrote in a statement.

Cheyenne Hale, a second-grade teacher, has posted an Amazon wish list to replace items left behind at the school. She says Uvalde CISD and other sources have been "amazing and are providing many counseling resources and opportunities," but she says she decided to leave decorations and posters in her old classroom.

Hale said she hopes to create a club to "spread kindness in our classroom/campus and in our community." She said the items on her wish list can help students adjust to a new environment.

Hale said she hopes to incorporate STEM and maker space activities and plans to add to the list over the summer.

"We love classroom transformations and making learning fun and engaging," she wrote in a Facebook post. People can learn more here.
