Above average temperatures and below average precipitation will be our weather story for at least for the next 7 days across north Texas.

Morning lows will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with afternoon highs today through Wednesday close to 104°. Therefore, Heat Advisories will remain in effect through midweek. There's also an Air Quality Alert in effect for today due to the light wind.

One positive note: A very weak front will slide through the area on Wednesday creating a very slight chance for a late afternoon or evening thunderstorm, but most will stay dry. This front will knock temperatures down to near 100° for Thursday and Friday, but readings will shoot right back up above 100° this weekend and into early next week.

Here's some unfortunate stats I'll share with you; we're close to 9" below average on precipitation at DFW Airport and points south and west, we're going on day 38 in a row with no rain, and we've had 17 triple digit days so far in 2020. As of now, no big relief is in store for north Texas for the foreseeable future.
