A comfortable start this morning, a few showers along a weak front tomorrow morning, and then high pressure builds into the area in the upper levels of the atmosphere for the rest of the week and into the weekend. That means the hot weather continues!
We're starting off this morning in the 60s away from town near 70 in the immediate Dallas Fort Worth area. Dry air invaded yesterday out of the plains states and that dry air will continue this afternoon through Thursday. Highs today will be in the mid 90s. An air quality alert is an effect for today.
There will be another weak cold front coming into the area tomorrow morning bringing a few scattered showers with it before noon. Sunshine will return later in the day with afternoon highs in the low nineties.
With dry air in place, Thursday morning's lows will drop into the 60s again in the outlying areas.
High pressure starts to build in from the western United States warming temperatures back up into the mid 90s for Thursday and Friday, upper nineties into the weekend.
Our next weather change will arrive next Tuesday and Wednesday, as a possible stronger cold front brings showers and storms as well as much cooler temperatures with it. Please keep in mind this is 8 days away and the timing is subject to change
