Drying out for now but isolated showers could happen, a slow warm up into the weekend

It's time to dry out! Rain is out of the forecast with only a few isolated showers possible this weekend but 95% of you stay dry.

Our next weather change arrives next week, as an upper level low that's now in the Gulf of Alaska, dives down through Seattle this weekend, through the Northern and Central Rockies and then may get stuck across Texas next week producing showers and storms across much of the state. Please keep in mind this forecast is still 5 to 7 days out and is subject to change, but something to definitely monitor.

In the meantime, we're waking up to temperatures in the 70s with a little bit of cloud cover overhead. Nothing is showing up on radar so you have a dry commute into work and school once again. I'm taking the isolated showers and storms out of the forecast for today and tomorrow and through most of the weekend as well. There will be some isolated showers and storms around, especially in East Texas, as temperatures warm back up into the low 90s. We might even feel some mid-90s late into the weekend and early next week. 80s for highs if the rain affects us Monday - Wednesday.
