Looks like our low humidity will stick around through the weekend before a southerly wind picks up, bringing moisture back in from the Gulf of Mexico. This being said, cool mornings and very warm afternoons will be our weather story, as our surface high pressure slips off to the East and a southerly wind returns.

An upper level ridge of high pressure will build into the area this weekend trapping the ozone at the surface. Therefore, an air quality alert is in effect for today and most likely tomorrow through the weekend. Afternoon highs will warm up to near 90, with morning lows in the low 60s.
As stated before, moisture starts to increase at the surface next week with temperatures near 90 both Monday and Tuesday. It's this surface moisture that will interact with a pretty strong upper level disturbance that will be cruising in from the west by the middle of next week. This should increase rain chances for the 1st time in quite some time. We need rain!!! We currently have over a 2" rainfall deficit for the month of September. So consider this a blessing to round out the month!
It's still way too early to pinpoint who will see the most rain, but at least it's back in the forecast. Temperatures will be a little bit cooler as well due to the cloud cover and rain.
Some of the extended data is hinting at a pretty decent cold front moving through by the end of next week into the following weekend. Daytime highs may only be in the 70s with morning lows back in the 50s!
Please keep in mind, this extended forecast is subject to change due to how far away we are from this possible weather change.
