We're starting off in the low to mid 80s once again under a clear sky. Yesterday we hit 103° at DFW and I'm forecasting highs near 104° both today and tomorrow. Heat index values will be around 106°. Humidity levels won't be too bad during the afternoon hours, but it will still be dangerously hot. Please stay hydrated and take breaks if you're going to be working outdoors.
Now let's talk about our slight chance of rain. By late Thursday afternoon into the evening hours, showers and storms will form across Oklahoma and try to cross the Red River Valley before 10:00 p.m. Most data has these falling apart Thursday evening, but then reforming the first half of Friday right over north Texas. It all depends on how strong the leftover outflow boundary will be. At least we have a little bit of rain in the forecast, but coverage will only be around 25%. I'll keep you posted. Friday's high will be near 101°.
Your weekend looks hot and dry, with slightly cooler temperatures again. Afternoon highs will be near 100° both days.
