It's a nice and cool-comfortable start this morning across north Texas, as temperatures have fallen into the fifties! This is well below average for this time of the year. Our average low is 68 degrees.
It'll be a sunny, breezy and warm day today with highs in the low 80s. That's five degrees below average for this time of the year.
Enjoy today, because temperatures will be warming rapidly tomorrow through the weekend. Afternoon highs tomorrow will be in the mid-to-upper 80s, low 90s on Saturday and mid 90s on Sunday and Monday. A south wind will pick up this weekend as well with gusts the 30 mph.
Our warm and windy weather pattern will extend into next week as well, with highs mainly in the low 90s. A south wind will continue with gusts to 30 mph.

This ridge of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will press to the south a little bit by the middle to end of next week, allowing a week cold front to slide south of the Red River Valley. It may come close enough to increase our shower and thunderstorm chances during the late afternoon and evening hours. This is still days away and not in stone, but at least it's in the forecast.
