Our unseasonably hot weather pattern will continue through early next week, but at least we have rain chances in the 7-day forecast!
We're starting off a little milder this morning, but it still feels pleasant out. Temperatures are in the fifties away from town, sixties in the Metroplex.
Another hot day is in store for all of us today with afternoon highs near 90ﾟ. We also have an air quality alert in effect.
No changes in our forecast tomorrow through the weekend, with afternoon highs in the low to mid nineties Friday and Saturday, near 90 on Sunday. Average high is near 80ﾟ! It will also be very windy as south winds gust as high as 30 mph. This will slowly increase the humidity, especially on Sunday.
Speaking of Sunday, there's a pretty decent chance for showers and storms towards late evening and into early Monday morning. There could be a few strong ones around, with wind being the primary threat. I'll keep an eye on things as usual.
Humidity levels will briefly drop off behind our weak cold front, but unfortunately, there's no cold air behind it. Afternoon highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper eighties.
Mid to upper eighties will be the rule on Tuesday with a slight chance of a shower or storm. By Wednesday, storm chances increase again, as a stronger front comes into the area. Afternoon highs will be cooler with readings in the low eighties.
We will cool off eventually, I promise… but in the meantime, please stay hydrated and don't forget the sunscreen if you're going to be outdoors for an extended period of time.
