We're waking up to uniform temperatures near 50° this morning under a clear sky. Today will be pretty nice with plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs in the low to mid 70s.

Things rapidly deteriorate this evening as clouds increase, and showers will start to work into the area after midnight. As of now, it looks like the heaviest rain will fall Friday late morning through the afternoon, as a powerful storm system glides across the area. Right now, I'm not looking for anything severe, but some areas could pick up one to three inches of rain.

Looks like the severe weather will stay a good hundred miles to our southeast. The heaviest rain will fall late Friday morning through the late afternoon hours, and then general shower activity will continue through tomorrow evening into Saturday morning. Temperatures tomorrow will be around 60° when you wake up tomorrow, fall into the 50s during the day and stay there all day. A north wind 10 to 20 mph will make it feel a lot cooler. We definitely need the rain, but it will be a pretty lousy day tomorrow.

You'll wake up Saturday morning to a few leftover showers and plenty of cloud cover. Temperatures will be in the low 50s. Clouds will be stubborn getting out of here and temperatures will struggle to get above 60°.

The rest of your 7-day forecast looks splendid. Sunny with highs in the upper 60s for Sunday, plenty of sunshine for Halloween with readings and the low 70s.. the mid-70s will dominate our weather Tuesday and Wednesday. Morning lows will be in the 40s and 50s.

Our next chance of rain may arrive by the end of next week.
