We have it relatively easy at the pump

We tend to have a bit of tunnel vision when it comes to the cost of filling the gas tank of the family car. We look at the prices at the pumps for gasoline, how much they are right now, plus how much they tend to jump at different times of the year.

In Dallas-Fort Worth, we're paying an average of about $3.04 a gallon, but when you compare it to the other big countries in the world, we have it good.

Gas Buddy ran some comparisons. It found that north of the border in Canada, they're paying around $4.77 per gallon. In Mexico, gasoline runs $4.81.

In Great Britain, gasoline is $6.74. In Germany, it's $7.07. People in Spain have to pay $6.62
