SPECIALS: Okonomi means “whatever you like” in Japanese, and this special New Year’s Eve dining experience offers just that. Come out for a chef’s tasting menu with the following categories: ramen, robata, sushi maki, sashimi, chirashi and sides.

SPECIALS: Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly alongside a four-course meal, which includes scallops, quail, lobster and more. Guests will have access to the Liberte Lounge for the New Year's celebration with a DJ until 2 a.m.

EVENT: River’s Casino New Year’s Eve Fireworks
DATE/TIME: Friday at 6 p.m. and midnight
WHERE: Visible from various locations along the Delaware River waterfront
DETAILS: If you find yourself in Penn’s Landing or various parts of South Street, Society Hill or Old City this New Year’s Eve, you should have a great view of the fireworks lighting up the Delaware River waterfront. KYW Newsradio has the soundtrack for the display, so tune in.
EVENT: Visit Philadelphia New Year’s Day Fireworks Spectacular
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 6 p.m.
WHERE: Visible from various locations along the Delaware River waterfront
DETAILS: You’re in luck if you didn’t catch the fireworks on New Year’s Eve. Kick off the new year with a new fireworks display along the Delaware River waterfront. KYW Newsradio has the soundtrack for the display, so tune in.
EVENT: Mummers Parade
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Starts at City Hall and goes down Broad Street to Washington Avenue
DETAILS: The Mummers Parade has been held for more than 120 years with 40-plus clubs organized into divisions for the Mummers Strut down Broad Street. The after-party happens along Second Street in South Philly.
CELEBRATIONS

EVENT: New Year’s Eve Skate Party
DATE/TIME: Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
WHERE: Flight on Ice, 4901 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square
DETAILS: Join the rink for a family skate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to count down to a new year complete with a mocktail toast and party favors. Then from 5 to 10 p.m., older children and adults are invited to skate to the sounds from a live DJ and enjoy glow sticks, drinks, party favors and more.

EVENT: Ball Drop at 700
DATE/TIME: Friday, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
WHERE: 700, 700 N. Second St., Northern Liberties
DETAILS: DJ SomebodyBlessedMe will be spinning all night at 700 for this New Year’s Eve celebration. There will be drink specials and an actual ball drop at midnight.

EVENT: French Disco Dance Party
DATE/TIME: Friday, 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
WHERE: Forsythia, 233 Chestnut St., Old City
DETAILS: In celebration of the new year, Forsythia, a French restaurant and bar in Old City, is offering small plates, themed cocktails and disco. If you’d rather watch the ball from home, the restaurant is also offering a takehome menu.

EVENT: Blind Barber Philly New Year’s Eve
DATE/TIME: Friday, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
WHERE: Blind Barber, 1325 Sansom St., Center City
DETAILS: Say goodbye to 2021 with an open bar from 8 to 10 p.m. and a complimentary toast at midnight with sounds from DJ Grotzy Versache.
