Nick Sirianni is somehow not among the three finalists for the Associated Press 2022 NFL Coach of the Year award.

Images circulated on social media showing Sirianni among the five finalists for the honor, along with Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers, Brian Daboll of the Giants, Sean McDermott of the Bills, and Doug Pederson of the Jaguars. The final three are actually just Shanahan, Daboll and Pederson.

Sirianni led the Eagles to an NFL best 14-3, and two of the losses came when his starting QB was out with a shoulder injury.

Eagles fans were obviously upset on social media.

The 41-year-old Eagles head coach was hired in January 2021, leading Philadelphia to a 9-8 record in his first season. However, the five-win second-season improvement may be credited mostly, at least by many analysts, with a significantly improved roster, as Howie Roseman should be the favorite to win executive of the year.

Furthermore, Sirianni beat Daboll's Giants three times this season, including a 38-7 thumping last Saturday to advance to the NFC Championship Game.

Sirianni will get a crack at Shanahan and the 49ers on Sunday, with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl.
