PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Kelce brothers will be vying for bragging rights come October.

The Eagles’ 2021 schedule was released Wednesday night, and one of the matchups includes two-time defending AFC Champion and Super Bowl LIV Champion Kansas City Chiefs at Lincoln Financial Field on Oct. 3.

Going into the 2021 season, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce arguably has an upper hand over his older brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, after playing in back-to-back Super Bowls. Jason hopes to beat his brother in the next head-to-head Kelce competition.

“It’s actually his birthday weekend,” Jason said Thursday on The WIP Morning Show. “[Travis’] birthday is Oct. 5, so I would love it if I could give him a birthday present of the Linc going crazy and cheering on the Eagles for a victory against Kansas City Oct. 3.”

Jason wasn’t pleased when Travis and the Chiefs beat the Eagles in 2017. Of course, Jason got the last laugh — and parade speech — that season when his team won Super Bowl LII.

Two seasons later, Travis’ team did the same thing, and like his older brother, he gave a loud and passionate speech at their victory parade.

Just for the record, Jason’s was better. See for yourself.

Aside from brotherly jabs, Jason also talked to WIP's Angelo Cataldi about the 2021 schedule. He said a bye on Week 14 will be tough because that means the Eagles will play 13 weeks in a row. He wished the NFL Players Association would have pushed for a second bye week with the season being extended from 16 to 17 games.
