PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles were supposed to have an outdoor public practice at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, but storm Henri had other plans.
The workout moved inside the NovaCare Complex, which gave media members their first opportunity to observe a practice session in the bubble since the 2019 season.
Many reporters noticed new signage posted on the south side of the facility, hanging high for everyone to see: Nick Sirianni’s core values.
Since joining the Eagles as a rookie NFL head coach, Sirianni has been preaching five core values: compete, accountability, football IQ, fundamentals and connect. The goal: improving by 1% every day.
The big poster featured Eagles veterans Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, Rodney McLeod and Miles Sanders.
Most notably, the new banner is exactly where a large photo of the Lombardi Trophy used to be, after the Eagles won Super Bowl LII.
It’s not clear if Sirianni’s signage replaced the Super Bowl one. It’s possible it was even replaced by something else during the Doug Pederson era, before Sirianni even arrived.
What is clear, though, is Sirianni’s message: progress.
