PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A shooting in North Philadelphia has left one person dead and two others injured.
Philadelphia police say that just after 9 p.m. Saturday, an 18 year-old was shot 7 times throughout his body on 11th Street near Dauphin Street.
He was taken to Jefferson Hospital where he was pronounced dead about a half hour later.
Authorities say the two other victims were a 26-year-old woman and 22 year-old man. The 22-year-old was shot in the chest and said to be in critical condition, while the woman was treated for a gunshot wound to her leg.
Police report that no arrests have been made at this time.
According to the Philadelphia Office of the Controller, to date, there have been 396 fatal shootings in the city in 2022.
Of those fatal shootings, 27 victims were younger than 18.
