PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Two Philadelphia men have been charged with vehicular homicide, for a fatal high-speed crash New Jersey officials say they initiated.

Officials say the incident took place on Dec. 28 last year when 28-year-old Jonathan Ramos and 23-year-old Brandon Moore were driving across the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge from New Jersey to Philadelphia.

Officials in Burlington County say the men reached speeds of 106 mph and 112 mph before Moore's Dodge Charger slammed Ramos' Jeep Grand Cherokee, causing a five-car collision that killed Gerardo Francisco Perez Martinez of Camden.

KYW Newsradio's Kyree Moses first reported on the incident on the bridge that night.

"Both directions have been shut down ever since," he said in his traffic report that night. "Now it's an investigation. A few vehicles were involved, and a few people were rushed to the hospital."

Police say Ramos left his vehicle and walked away from the crash scene.

The men are now facing multiple charges, including second-degree vehicular homicide.
