Several hurt after crash at Wilmington high school football stadium

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Several people are hurt after a crash outside a homecoming football game in Wilmington, Delaware.

The crash happened at about 6 p.m. Friday at Abessinio Stadium, outside Salesianum High School.

Emergency responders tell our broadcast partner NBC10 reports a vehicle lost control and hit a number of people at the stadium that seats some 5,000 spectators.

It was initially unclear what caused the crash or how many people are hurt.

Salesianum High School was scheduled to hold its homecoming football game against Middletown High School at the stadium tonight, but the game has been postponed.
