43-year-old Jonathan Wisneski was taken into custody Friday and charged with alleged sexual assault while he was principal at Primos Elementary in Upper Darby in 2018.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said accusations first surfaced years ago. Wisneski was forced to leave the district, but charges weren't filed because of insufficient evidence.

However, Stollsteimer said a student has come forward. Criminal charges were filed after new forensic interviews this month, where victims detailed the alleged abuse.

"There are more, potentially more victims out there, so we are asking people, families, if your child had any contact that was inappropriate, sexual contact with this individual when he was the principal at Primos to please come forward," Stollsteimer appealed.

According to the criminal complaint, a student said Wisneski slapped her in the face when she refused to sit on his lap.

"This is an active investigation. We can’t get much more into the details of that because we hope to continue to move this case forward," said Stollsteimer.

Wisneski hasn't worked at Primos since 2018. He was most recently employed by the Deveraux Cares School in Downingtown.
