PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It’s a sure sign that spring is right around the corner: Registration for the Broad Street Run opens on Monday for runners who have guaranteed entry.
That includes runners who have competed in at least 10 races or runners who deferred their place in 2020 or 2021.
Everyone else can enter the lottery starting Feb. 13.
Registration closes on Feb. 28.

This year, the race goes back to its traditional day, the first Sunday in May. It was virtual in 2020 and held in October last year.
Runners must be fully vaccinated in order to participate. Runners will also be required to wear a mask at the starting and finish line areas.
In a statement, Mayor Jim Kenney called the run “another sign that Philadelphia is returning to normal.”
