PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The polls are closed, and some of the most critical races in the country have been called.

At the top is the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania, which Democrat John Fetterman won over Republican Mehmet Oz. Democrat Josh Shapiro also beat Republican state Sen. Doug Mastriano for governor.

Control of the U.S. House is also up for grabs. Democrats have held the majority, but analysts predict Republicans will flip it. So far, though, it's not the total red wave they anticipated.

In the Pennsylvania Legislature, Republicans controlled both the House and Senate. Republicans are expected to retain both, but they have the potential to lose significant seats in the House, thus narrowing their majorities.
