PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The body of the man involved in a fiery standoff and subsequent multi-home fire has been pulled from the remains of his townhome, according to the Lower Providence Township Police Department.
The body of Thomas Razzi, 66, was found just before midnight on Thursday in the basement of what was left of his burned-out house on Cardin Place in Eagleville.
About 12 hours earlier, police say Razzi chased a township code enforcement officer with a gun. The officer visited Razzi’s home for a follow-up inspection for a hoarding situation.

When police arrived and confronted Razzi, who was then unarmed, they say he went back into his house, and a series of loud explosions and gunfire followed. Police believe Razzi intentionally fired shots and started the massive fire, which destroyed three townhomes and damaged others.
Police noted they never exchanged gunfire with Razzi.
Authorities also said the homeowner made his own fireworks, and he had several guns and rounds of ammunition in his home at the time of the explosion.
The code enforcement officer sustained minor injuries.
The official cause of Razzi’s death is still pending.
