According to a new report in the Journal of the American Medical Association, chatbots may have potential.
When medical students were allowed to use a chatbot tool designed to support patient care, the students actually made more accurate and helpful decisions.
In addition, the chatbot tool also was able to pass multiple choice tests used to evaluate medical students.
