PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Burlington County, New Jersey are looking for two men who stole a baby parrot from a pet store.

The bird, a pineapple green-cheek conure, was taken on Saturday from Todd Marcus Birds Exotic store on Route 130 in Delran.

Surveillance video from inside the store shows a man taking it out of the cage while another man stands watch. The bird is then placed into the thief’s pocket or bag.

The store shared footage of the theft of Facebook. Owner Todd Marcus said the baby parrot is still being hand-fed, so it could soon be in danger without the proper care.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Delran Township Police Department at 856-461-4498, ext. 149, or submit an anonymous tip at 856-461-9010.
