PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for two men who used an ax and a gun to rob a North Philadelphia grocery store.

Police released surveillance footage that shows a hooded robber using an ax to break down the plexiglass door of the Yahya Grocery store, located on the 800 block of West Venango Street, around 2:30 Wednesday morning.

Once inside, a second hooded man, wearing a black coat and surgical gloves, points a handgun at a store worker, who turns over $750 in cash.

The robbers also nabbed two cartons of cigarettes.

No shots were fired, and the store worker was not physically hurt.

Police said the robbers ran out of the store and fled south on Ninth Street.
