PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia community is making sure a mother's dream is realized, years after she and her children were killed.
It was July of 2014 when Keisha Williams and three of her children were killed by a carjacker who crashed into them while they were selling fruit on a sidewalk.
"When they were tragically killed, they were raising money for a playground," said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell.
She joined other officials and a community gathering in Tioga to dedicate a park in honor of the Williams family.
The formerly rundown lot has new trees, new lighting, new sidewalks, new fencing and new benches.

"This is over $800,000 that has been invested in this space, and there's more improvements coming," Ott Lovell added.
Philadelphia City Council President Darrell Clarke commended the community for spearheading this initiative that was years in the making.
"You all took money out of your pockets in years past," Clarke said. "You put up some sort of makeshift basketball courts, because the city didn't step to the plate quick enough."
Williams' sister Rochelle Blackson said her sister would be proud of the park.
"I'm just grateful," said Williams, "and thankful for this playground."
