TRENTON (KYW Newsradio) — With almost half of New Jersey residents now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the Garden State is beginning to phase out its six vaccination megasites.
"We are now scheduling the final shots for our megasites," said Gov. Phil Murphy.
He explained that as of Wednesday, the sites in Gloucester County and Atlantic City have stopped delivering first doses.
Second doses will be administered through June 18 at the Rowan College location in Sewell and June 19 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
The Burlington County megasite at the Moorestown Mall will stop administering first doses on July 1, and will remain open for second shots through July 23.
Murphy said so far more than 4.2 million New Jerseyans are fully vaccinated.
He said residents still looking to get the shot can do so at any of the nearly 1,800 sites across New Jersey.
