PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Starting Sunday, Aug. 27, SEPTA is changing Regional Rail schedules for nearly every line.
The schedule changes are partly to accommodate seasonal demand and partly a result of construction, according to SEPTA spokesperson Kelly Greene.
“We’re constantly tracking our ridership and adjusting our service levels accordingly,” she said.
On the Wilmington-Newark Line, for example, Greene said SEPTA service will be impacted by Amtrak, which is starting bridge work in the Chester area next month.

There are midday service reductions on Chestnut Hill East for track and survey work, and adjustments on Chestnut Hill West for school travel. SEPTA is altering every line except Cynwyd and Fox Chase.
The changes maintain about 75% of pre-COVID-19 Regional Rail service. Ridership is at 58% of pre-pandemic levels.
