SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Cannabis regulators in New Jersey are looking for the public’s input on a new set of proposed rules for smoking lounges.

If approved, the new rules would prohibit people from smoking cigarettes or tobacco products inside the lounges. Booze would not be allowed either.

Customers would be able to bring their own food or get food delivered from a local restaurant, but the lounge itself would not be able to sell food.

Consumption lounges must also be connected to a licensed dispensary. And, staff would be required to deny service to anyone who is obviously impaired.

Feedback on this package is encouraged. Anyone can submit a comment until March 18 on the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission website.
