PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Gov. Phil Murphy says New Jersey students could be wearing masks in school this fall. Speaking on MSNBC on Tuesday morning, he said he suspects the state will continue with some of the COVID-19 protocols currently in place in state classrooms.

"As we all know, we don't have a vaccine yet — although there are vaccines in trials — for the under-12-year-olds," the governor said. "My guess is, ... if I had to bet today, that we'll have masking in schools in the fall as a result of that."

Murphy has said New Jersey schools would open fully in-person in the fall.
