PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police said a Montgomery County woman used her daughters to help sell drugs.
Suleyka Santiago, 34, is not just facing charges related to selling drugs. Santiago, from Norristown, is also facing charges of endangering the welfare of children.
Police said they watched as a confidential informant dialed a number that investigators say belongs to Santiago, asking for Oxycodone, then drove to the meeting location.
The criminal complaint said the informant got into a car with two children. One took the money, while the other gave the informant the drugs.
After the sale, the kids went into a nearby establishment, and later were seen leaving in the same car with Santiago.
Police said those children are Santiago’s 12 and 14-year-old daughters.
Authorities said the informant met with Santiago and bought more pills.
The pills are believed to be fake Oxycodone.
Investigators said they believe Santiago took over for her boyfriend after he was arrested on charges of selling drugs.
Her bail was originally set at $100,000 cash, but that was reduced and she was let out on $10,000 unsecured.
