PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A pregnant woman, her newborn, and a 12-year-old boy were killed in a car crash Saturday morning in western New York. They were part of a group of three families traveling from Norristown, Pennsylvania to Niagara Falls, New York, according to New York State Police.

They were all in an Econoline van — carrying 13 people total — when it crashed on I-390. The vehicle swerved off the roadway after a rear tired failed. Police said the car then slammed into the median and rolled over several times.

The woman, 40-year-old Margarita Ramirez-Luna, died at the hospital. The child was delivered but also died. Her newborn, 1-year-old Mateas, also died.

The older boy, identified as 12-year-old Alex Andrade, was pronounced dead at the scene.
