PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania authorities say they are collaborating with federal investigators to help identify and charge anyone who may have played a role in Wednesday’s violence at the Capitol. This comes as the FBI is asking the public for help in finding those responsible for the chaos.

The FBI is asking for pictures, videos and anything else that can help them identify individuals from Wednesday’s violence at the Capitol.

The chaos left at least four people dead, dozens of officers injured, and federal property damaged.

In a statement, FBI director Chris Wray said, “Let me assure the American people the FBI has deployed our full investigative resources and is working closely with our federal, state, and local partners to aggressively pursue those involved in criminal activity during the events of Jan. 6.”

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro would not go into any details surrounding investigations, but said that his office is committed to the same goal.

“My office knows the difference between protest and violence. If you organized a plan to carry out yesterday’s illegal attack on our country from Pennsylvania, and we have evidence that you participated, we will use every tool at our disposal to hold you accountable,” Shapiro said.

Tips can be reported using an electronic form on the FBI’s website.
