PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Polls closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday, and Pennsylvania voters have been hard at work casting their ballots for the midterm primary election all day long.

The Pennsylvania governor's primary is a face-off between nine Republicans. On the Democratic side, Attorney General Josh Shapiro ran unopposed and will advance to the general election in November. Learn more about all the candidates here.

The Pennsylvania U.S. Senate race is a hot ticket, with Republican Sen. Pat Toomey vacating his seat. Democrats are hoping to flip it and attempt to maintain the Democratic majority in Congress, while Republicans are hoping to keep the seat within the party and flip seats elsewhere in their quest to become the majority. Read more about all the candidates on both sides here.

There are also a number of Pennsylvania House seats up for grabs, and you can follow the election results for those, in addition to the Senate and governor's race, below.
