
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police say a 4-year-old boy who was inside a stolen minivan has reportedly been found safe and united with family members.
The incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. near the corner of 52nd and Chancellor Streets in West Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek neighborhood.
According to police, two men jumped into a running van and drove away, possibly not realizing the 4-year-old boy was in the back seat.
Police say two firearms were located inside the center console of the van.
The vehicle was found near the corner of University Avenue and Curie Boulevard in University City.
Police say one suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants and dark sneakers. The other suspect was wearing a red jacket, a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black jogging pants and black and gray sneakers.
