FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in Bucks County are looking for a man who pretended to be a police officer and pulled someone over.

Police said it happened shortly after midnight on Saturday. A woman had just left the Wawa on West Trenton Avenue and Pine Grove Road in Morrisville when the fake officer pulled her over.

The man was driving a black or blue SUV and had blue and red lights on the dashboard, according to investigators.

Police did not go into detail about their interaction. The impersonator was wearing a dark uniform and had a gold badge and a flashlight, officials said.

Anyone with information about the incident and the fake officer is asked to call the Falls Township Police Department at 267-979-0481.

Officials advise any driver who is pulled over and concerned that the individual may not be legitimate law enforcement to park in a well-lit area and call 911.
