PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Be careful, the next bite you take into a Nestlé Toll House cookie might not just contain the chocolatey chunks you’re used to.

The company sent out a voluntary recall Thursday for two batches of their 16.5-ounce chocolate chip cookie dough “break and bake” bars, produced on April 24 and 25. They say the treats, sold at stores in the U.S., might possibly contain wood fragments.

The company advises people to check their packages for batch codes 311457531K and 311557534K, with best use or freeze-by dates of Aug. 22, 2023, and Oct. 23, 2023. Nestlé says not to prepare or eat the product if it has these codes or dates, and to return it to the retailer you bought it from for a replacement or refund.

Nestlé says a small number of consumers contacted them about this issue. As of now, no illnesses have been reported.
