
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police say they are trying to identify and find a suspect whom they believe broke into an apartment and sexually assaulted a woman who did not know him.
According to police, the suspect broke into her apartment near the corner of South 45th and West Pine streets in Philadelphia at about 2:30 a.m. on April 21.
Police say the suspect then pulled out a knife and sexually assaulted the woman numerous times within three hours, used a basement window to get out of her building and fled the scene.
According to police, the suspect is about 16 years old, about 5 feet and 9 or 10 inches tall, weighing 150 to 160 pounds with a thin muscular build. Police believe he has brown eyes, possible green contact lenses and braided hair that may have been cut or dyed.
The suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white tank top and gray sweatpants with black zippers and black sneakers during the crime.
