PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police said Monday night that a man on a motorcycle fired shots at officers in Southwest Philadelphia.
They encountered the unidentified man near the intersection of 84th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard.
KYW Newsradio's Jim Melwert reports the suspect escaped in a Folcroft police car with a SWAT vest and helmet, but did not get any weapons.
No officers were hurt.
Melwert confirms that a pursuit with the suspect started in Chester and went across Delaware County before reaching Philadelphia.
That police vehicle was found in Deptford, where investigators were searching for the suspect for a crime in Delaware County.
