PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are asking for help in identifying more than half a dozen teenagers whom they say punched and kicked a delivery driver, putting him in critical condition.

Zachary Lean was sucker-punched and beaten by eight teenagers on the evening of August 17 in Queen Village while he was doing delivery work on his bicycle.

He was found unconscious and taken into Jefferson Hospital. He eventually went into a coma and remains in critical condition.

Herbert Morrison, 19, turned himself in, saying he was one of the teens who attacked Lean. He faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and conspiracy.

"He gave a confession to his involvement in the beating," said Philadelphia Police Captain James Kearney with the South Detective Division.

Kearney said they are now using that teen as a resource as they search for the other people responsible.

"He did provide us with some investigative leads that we will track down," said Kearney.

Police released the video (above) and asked for the community's help in bringing the other attackers to justice.

"We all want perfect video. It's not perfect," Kearney admitted. "But if you know them - and people will - if you know them you can identify them and help us out."
