Around 1:30 a.m., authorities say the victim was inside her third-floor apartment at Ninth and Winter streets when she heard someone knocking on the lobby door.

As she opened it, a man shoved her into her kitchen, saying, “Give me all your money.” Police say he was holding a 10-inch knife.

The man shoved her into her bedroom and punched her in the face several times. She told police she collapsed to the floor and watched the man take her purse, which had $200 in cash.

The man fled down the stairs. The victim was treated at the hospital for swelling to her left cheek and forehead. She also may have a slightly fractured orbital bone, officials said.

No arrest has been made yet. The investigation is ongoing.
