PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia woman who was charged in connection with a drug-connected hazmat situation that injured a baby has been sentenced to four years probation after spending six months in prison.

Perla Santiago-Diaz, 23, pleaded guilty in June to endangering the welfare of a child, risking a catastrophe, conspiracy and drug charges after emergency workers found her, a baby and another man unconscious inside a Mayfair row home on March 24.

About 50 hazmat workers were called to the scene when they found a large amount of a white, powdery substance in the house. Authorities believed it was a mix of heroin and fentanyl. The man died, and the baby and Santiago-Diaz were taken to the hospital.

Santiago-Diaz was also ordered to take parenting classes.
