During his rally in Conroe, Texas, on Saturday, former President Donald Trump teased plans to run for the White House in the 2024 election, adding that he may consider pardoning those charged for the January 6 Capitol riot.

Trump shared his plans with his followers at his rally in Conroe, saying those being prosecuted for their actions at the Capitol following the 2020 election are not being treated right.
"If I run, and if I win, we will treat those people from January 6 fairly," Trump said.
He continued saying, "And if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons because they are being treated so unfairly."
The Department of Justice has charged more than 700 people who were in the riot trying to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election.
Along with that, a House Select Committee, being led by Rep. Benni Thompson, is also investigating the events leading to the riot and possible involvement from Trump himself, those in his administration, or his supporters.
As for how the former president feels about the investigation, he didn't hold back, sharing with his supporters on Saturday that he thinks prosecutors are going too far.
"These prosecutors are vicious, horrible people. They're racists, and they're very sick — they're mentally sick," Trump said. "They're going after me without any protection of my rights from the Supreme Court or most other courts. In reality, they're not after me, they're after you."
He continued, saying that there would possibly be protests if the prosecutors did anything "wrong or corrupt."
"If these radical, vicious, racist prosecutors do anything wrong or corrupt, we are going to have in this country the biggest protests we have ever had," Trump said.
The rally in Conroe brought Trump supporters from across Texas and even some from Washington and New Jersey. Some of the supporters were even camped out on the fairground days beforehand.
As his speech began to wrap up, Trump took shots at the media, saying "the press is the enemy of the people" and "the corrupt media will destroy our country."
