The San Antonio Zoo is continuing its annual tradition of getting back at your ex.
The zoo will once again allow you to name a cockroach, veggie, or rodent after your ex and then feed it to another animal all in the name of Valentine’s Day.
The Cry Me a Cockroach fundraiser is looking to raise funds to “support the zoo’s vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world.”
For a donation of $5.00, $10.00, and $25.00, you will receive a digital downloadable Valentine’s Day card, and a person of your choosing will receive a Valentine’s Day card informing them that a veggie, cockroach, or rodent was named after them and fed to an animal in the zoo!
Tim Morrow, president and CEO of San Antonio Zoo told MySanAntonio.com, “We are very excited to bring back this Valentine’s favorite to exes from all over the world.
“The Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser is a perfect way to rid that negative energy and contribute to securing a future for wildlife in doing so. The cockroaches and humanely pre-frozen rodents are already part of the animals' typical diets. These cockroaches and rats really are the unsung heroes of the food chain.”
