All around the NFL the cuts are coming and the Washington Redskins have to trim their preseason roster of 90 players to a final roster of just 53 players by 4 p.m. ET Saturday.
With the fourth preseason game behind us, some 1,200 players will be out of a job. It is the cruel nature of professional football.

Defensive Lineman Austin Maloata, an undrafted player out of Austin Peay, has been released, Hoffman confirmed.

Josh Doctson has not been released, but the team is looking to
either trade or cut him Saturday, per Ian Rapoport and confirmed by Hoffman.

Running back Byron Marshall, who survived Saturday, was released Sunday after the Redskins claimed Wendell Smallwood off waivers, per Keim.

August 31, 2019 Tight End Matt Flanagan, played three games for Washington in 2018, was released. Hoffman reported he will get an injured designation which means he could revert to Washington's IR if he goes unclaimed.
