Mexican fast food chain Qdoba is set to open its first Bay Area location with several more planned in the near future. The grand opening of the Ygnacio Plaza Shopping Center location in Walnut Creek is set for August 21st.
According to SF Gate, the franchisee opening this location is also eyeing future stores in Hayward & Fairfield and looking into potential locations in the South Bay.
Qdoba has been around since 1995 when it was first called Zuma Fresh before changing its name to Qdoba in 1999. The closest location for those in the Bay Area has been one at Travis Air Force Base.
