To celebrate the release of his new album, WAITING on YOU, Jon B. recently stopped by the Helpful Honda Sound Space for a special performance and interview with 94.7 The Wave's Liz Hernandez. Watch above as the R&B legend looks back on his 30 year career, talks about being sampled and working alongside 2Pac, and thrills a room full of fans with his electric performance.

"I just tell you how I see it, I tell you how I feel it, and welcome you to my world in terms of whatever I'm on in my life," Jon shares about his new LP. "God gave me that gift of music, to be able to express myself both emotionally and, just kind of say how I feel. I love the fact that I have this close relationship with my audience, that you guys trust me, you trust me to play my music for your kids, to be able to raise your kids up. A lot of the young folks are starting to show up to my shows."

Jon also shared some thoughts on today's R&B, and how he feels to be included, being sampled by artists like The Weeknd and Drake, after years of success. "Just to be remembered in any way from the people who have related to my music, whether you like to play my music in your life or whether you want to sample my music and use it as your own. I'm complimented by the whole way from the little bits to the big bits."
